Introduction
AspireSpot ("we", "us", or "our") developed 2KTalk, an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) application designed to help children with autism and communication challenges express themselves. We are committed to protecting the privacy and safety of all users, especially children.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our 2KTalk mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. By using 2KTalk, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2KTalk is designed to be installed and managed by parents, guardians, or qualified specialists. The application is intended for use by children under adult supervision.
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
2KTalk is designed for use by children, including those under 13 years of age. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations.
- We do not collect personal information directly from children
- All account setup and management must be performed by a parent, guardian, or authorized specialist
- We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any information related to a child user
- Parents/guardians can review, modify, or delete their child's information at any time
- We do not condition a child's participation on the collection of more personal information than is reasonably necessary
Information We Collect
Information Provided by Parents/Guardians:
- Contact email address (parent/guardian only) - for account management and important notifications
- Child's age range and gender - to customize voice settings and app experience
- User profile type (parent, specialist, institute) - to provide appropriate features
- Communication preferences and vocabulary selections
Information Collected Automatically:
- Device information (operating system, device type, unique device identifiers)
- App usage data (features used, session duration, vocabulary selections)
- Crash reports and performance data
- Location data (when enabled by parent/guardian - see Location Services section)
Location Services
2KTalk includes an optional location-based feature that suggests contextually relevant vocabulary based on the user's location (such as school, home, hospital, or market-related words).
Important Information About Location Data:
- Location services are OFF by default and must be explicitly enabled by a parent/guardian
- Location data is processed locally on the device to suggest relevant vocabulary
- We do not store, track, or transmit precise location history to our servers
- Parents/guardians can disable location services at any time through the app settings or device settings
- Location data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties
- This feature is designed solely to enhance communication assistance
To disable location services: Go to App Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Toggle OFFHow We Use Your Information

- To personalize the communication experience with appropriate vocabulary and voice settings
- To suggest contextually relevant words based on location (when enabled)

- Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before complete deletion
